ASP - Assault Swift Patrol (ASP) vehicle.
This is a "Group Build" the model group that I meet with every Friday night decided to do just for fun.
I started with a 1 1/2” X 6” sink tailpiece (PVC) replacement for a sink drain.
I used two sets of “Tamiya” trailers for the flak 38 Anti-Aircraft guns. One is pretty much out of the box on the rear, while the other has been hacked up and used as the front wheels.
I used a single 20mm AA gun in the front. And an MG34 machine gun (not shown) to add a little fire power.
The front of this beast is a plastic part from a McDonalds toy that I found in a parking lot.
(I really don't know what it was from)???
I used a lot of plastic card stock (note some of it is those free credit cards that they send you in the mail). I always like it when they send me free plastic for future modeling projects.
The bottom is the engine deck from some long lost tank (once again taken from the large spare parts box).
I have tons of old Resin stuff (little do dads) that have been added for detail.
The turret is from the Tamiya T-34/76 (1943) and the grab handles are from the Flak trailer.
The door is and old gun shield from one of the AA guns.
The exhaust system was made from sprue.
It was a lot of fun to slap together, it will be a damaged/destroyed recon vehicle in a “alternate
universe” World War II dio that we are doing as a group build.
Hope you enjoyed it as much as I have enjoyed building it.

I'm doing the ground work (terrain) for the diorama.
Trees:
Real tree branches

Paper punches with some leaves

Leaves close up

Leaves with figures for scale

I use real branches and scraps stuff I find around the area where I live.
I use a paper punch that is in the shape of a leaf, I have Maple and Oak.
I took paper with fall color leaves and printed it on both sides, then punch out a bunch
of leaves to glue (Elmers-white glue) to the trees. I sometimes seal the trees with a
clear flat to keep them better.
Then mount them to the base.
