Another TRIP IN AUSTRALIA -Tasmania July/ August 2025

I like the idea.

I noticed out in CA people are packed on top of each other. Even here in the south they tend to build on top of each other, that's why I like my little 2 acre lot, in town they would fit 3 houses, in CA they would build 10 houses on this lot! We need to spread out, get away from each other!

Its quiet out of the cities.
It is but getting model supplies are a challenge. :rotf

Hey MP, I agree, I like my space and have plenty where I live in the ranges behind Outer NE Melbourne.
I will be going south at the end of the week to our most Southern state/area of Australia - Tasmania. My wife and I will be doing a 2 week road trip around the whole island.
We went there to buy my new car in Devonport (mid coastal north of the island) last July at the same time of the year but only did a 5 day drive and missed a lot, so this time we will go around the whole island.
Taken at Devonport last year - my new baby :)

So I will take some more photos and try to post while on the trip. If access is bad I will just post when I get back.

I've been to North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida, even though it is a wanna be Southern state as explained by Alabama residents. Went through Atlanta to get to and from them.

The closest anyone got was northern Minnesota, very close to the Canadian border. Why they never took the extra step I don't know.

Cheers,

Back in '95 my daughter and I drove across the southern most portion of Ontario between Windsor (Detroit) and Niagra Falls. Went to a bunch of small museums along there with WWII stuff, and saw Jumbo's burial plot (Jumbo the elephant from the circus). We then went to the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson. At the time it was much smaller and there were 3 hangers on the base with the Presidential planes and a number of other planes. All of which are now in one of the 4 large museum hangers.
I remember it was the weekend of the Queen's birthday. (week before Memorial day in the US) and we went to the north coast of Lake Erie where it was sunny but windy with about 3 ft waves blowing and cold (to us) All the Canadians were running around in swimming trunks and bathing suits while we had jackets.

Nice Mazda Ian-- I love my Mazda 6 and hate that they stopped making them.
My previous vehicle was a Mazda CX-7 Turbo Luxury Sport. Built on the Mazda 6 chassis - I really like the Mazda 6 too. I didn't realise that they had stopped production. 😥😢
The CX-7 was a great car that I had for 10 years without a problem. It was a good medium size that was a little on the larger side which was perfect for transporting my art to shows and my Mountain Bikes for holidays. My son bought it off me when I swapped into the CX - 30. Smaller but updated tech and styling with the sports luxury pack. :vgood:
