A side hobby of mine

Joe Hudson

Master at Arms
I have always enjoyed getting autographs and such. I never had much of a chance as a child but always thought it would be cool to get some. I started writing to different actors, athletes, music groups and etc. I have also started having my kids do the same. With the new tech stuff before long they may not even know how to actually write a letter with paper and pen! :hmmm

Anyway's I thought I would share some of the success we have had this past year.

That's pretty cool right there! I have a Mets ball from the 80's signed by the team when my uncle worked for Doubleday down there and a pic signed by Robert Morgan of the Memphis Belle...along with a few signed CDs...one by Rik Emmett from Triumph who was a real down to earth fellow...really dig what you've got there!

I got a Jimmy Buffett autograph around here somewhere. Long story...Roger Daltrey Rocks! Tommy Shaw also :ro: Is that JY sitting next to Tommy? :blink

Not sure who those others are. :mpup

OH Neil Sedaka :yipee

Cool stuff,Joe! (y)

Wow man,The Who!
Pete Townshend was one of the first who destroyed his guitar on stage.
Animal from the Muppet show was derived from drummer Keith Moon. :woohoo:
Such a shame I have never seen them life in concert!

Greetings,Ron.

and one you MIGHT know Bob...South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. She and my younger sister were childhood friends growing up in Bamberg.

I know Nicky too- I live 4 miles from the Capital building. I don't have much of this, though in '85 me and some friends met Ronnie James Dio and the rest of his band after a show- he and three others signed what we had, I had a piece of notebook paper...

He walked through the fence with his body guards and right into the crowd and began shaking hands- he asked us how we 'were' and hoped we made it home safely- I remember how short he was and how he made direct eye contact when he spoke- one of the nicest guys I have ever met- I felt a shadow pass when I heard he died last year.

Met Buck Dahrma a few years later at a small club B.O.C. was playing- I took the pic and he signed it while we had a beer at the bar, he drank Heineken and had tiny hands that felt like they could crush steel when we shook hands- Eric Bloom was a complete ass that night-

Maybe late I'll post what happened in '89 when we met Queensryche- no hands were shaken then! lol

I like this hobby- have a few friends that collect too- you have a nice set here.

Oooo....what happened?? I've seen them in concert when they did the entire Operation Mind Crime!

Here are a few new ones. Rick Springfield and Daniel Radcliff....AKA Harry Potter :v we met Rick Springfiled back when the boys were 3 and 4. he played for about 20 mins with them and then gave them a signed picture. The boys then wrote to him and these are what he sent to them. They wrote Daniel Radcliff on Broadway where he was performing and these are the pictures he sent to them.

Very nice- I know some things make it into frames, but where do you store the rest? As a comics collector I can understand your pain after say, 1000 pieces.

Thanks! I feel yours too! I too have about 700+ comics......what a geek I am for an old man! :geek We do frame some and the others are put in protective sleeves and placed in a notebook.
