I won a Bronze for my old Airfix VX-4 Angel Interceptor. The Club ran short of awards, and I haven't recieved it in the mail yet. Hold my breath, then, shall I? HA!

Since I'd never been to Butch O'Hare before, I had a wide choice of finished kits to choose from, so I picked a few of my favorites to enter. You guys have seen the HO KT before.

One of two Angel Interceptors tested at Naval Weapons Test Squadron, Point Mugu CA. They broke every bit of glass in Compton. Fast & Noisy!

What if Baron Freiherr Manfred Von Richtofen had survived WWI to lead the Luftwaffe in WWII? I like to think his ME262-A1 would look like this:

Can you make out the Snoopy on the rudder?

I think this concludes my Show report. :drinks :pilot :snoopy

Wow that's incredible,...I never knew that Someone actually made a real plane from a kids show,...awesome !

Oh Yes! Had we actually met in CHI, you would have learned, that I myself, am still a giant child. I'm crazy about the Thunderbirds as well. I have several Thunderbird 2 models waiting in the wings!

As far as taking pics together goes, once I had finally identified Rhino, it was time for me and Nick to go. I had already gotten about 3 good hours out of him and he was starting to get bored and fuss (He's 7)

Anyway, we met up, shook hands and chatted for a few minutes but, to be honest, it really never occurred to me to have picture taken together until I was long gone. Whoops.

I have to say that Rhino (I'm sorry, bro, I can't remember your name*) is a very nice guy, very unassuming, and a joy to chat with once he figured out who in the hell I was. I only wish I would have hooked up with him and his lady friend earlier.

*20 years in the Navy made me lazy. If your name isn't on your shirt, I tend to forget it. Sorry.

Probably for the best, he'd have had your boy fetching the rum. :woohoo: :coolio

We thought Nick was a swell kid. I didn't think to have pictures taken of us either, Jeff. I was remiss.
I hope he gets to see Puff the Magic Dragon blow the dog-snot out of the NVA in "The Green Berets". It made a profound impression on me, as a small lad.
Your identity is safe with Rachel & I! HA!

Pup, I posted this on my thread, while giving instructions to Don ([email protected]) Barry, He chose "something" as his moniker, a fail. "Brummbar" would be better.
I got him the camera, and did the 1st lesson today. If he'd been registered, all y'all would be viewing his masterful models. alas, no approval came thru. Handle this, Won't you please?
Many thanks!
CCR

Chris you're a couple of hours late. Got Something approved and user name changed per Mike's instructions. Don is ready to log on.

You're teaching him, who's supplying the rum? :drinks
