1969 F100 CPPJ work truck

Getting back to the work bench with a project I've wanted to do for a couple of years now. Using Moebius Models 1969 F100 I am making a Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, think county commissioners' office, Public Works work truck. I'm a bit rusty with the airbrush and have painted and stripped the body a couple of times.

I lucked up and had a friend of mine give me a 1971 Ford pickup brochure his dad had when he was shopping for a truck. I need to rework the steering wheel. The horn ring will be maid of wire and should be silver. One of the great things about working for Public Works is that I can create actual 1/25 work orders!

Chassis went together great. Need to dull coat it.

Great to see you back on MA. H*ll of a choice a new project. I have the kit too and it looks outstanding in the box.

What's a work truck without a a water cooler? The black stripes are vinyl sheeting to replicate the corrugated look of the old galvanized Igloo coolers.

Kenny, welcome back to the bench and well done on the truck so far. The cooler looks amazing too. Way to go man, it's so great to see you building again!

You don't see that just every day!
Neet-O!
How did you come by the door decals?
(y)

I made them. I have a color laser printer in my office. When my old inkjet crapped out, I asked for a laser printer knowing I could print my own decals. Boss didn't bat an eye and signed off on it. One of the benefits of being the head of the art/sign department at work.

;)

I did get the body and interior stripped and ready for paint, again. I got a .07mm needle and nozzle coming in today for my Grex Tritium. I figure the wider spray will help with painting the body.
