I wanted to do something quick and not too complicated to get the mojo working again. You know, instant gratification. So, I picked up Polar Lights snap together 1966 Batmobile on the way home yesterday.

There is some painting to be done, but the body is nice and glossy and not on a sprue. I'm using a silver Sharpie for all of the aluminum parts.

I think the tires are a little too far in so I will replace the kit axles with some metal rod cut to the correct length.

The kit even comes with the Dynamic Duo.

If you ever want to build this iconic tv car, there is a great website with all kinds of reference photos.

I'm thinking that this is the flying Car I always wanted ....... Ford was ahead of their tyme in engineering ...... So 'ol George got ahold of this car & created a thing of Beauty ...... still think with some of terry's Gizz-mology ......... Who Knows ??? ..... :eek:ldguy

I do too. What is funny is if you look in the photos from the set, EVERYTHING is labeled. Can you imagine building a 1/35 Abrams or Bradley and putting those little red labels everywhere.

:rotf

Well of course it's the best looking Batmobile... And I didn't even know the kit existed till now. Gotta get one of these for Bens' birthday in July !!

Yup this one is famous in TV fame ..... the others were comic & movie cars ..... although I did sell a tumbler to a young modeler ...... He had been sucking up my Tom Daniels kits ..... So about a month age he bought the Mobius Tumbler ...... Haven't seen Him since ...... :hmmm

I brought the kit up to work and got a few more details done while on break. Thank goodness for silver Sharpies!

Hey guys. I got some good bench time today and I got the Batmobile almost done. I watched the movie with Ian Friday. Just a few clear parts tomorrow and I will be finished.

Yes, the seatbelts were that wide.

All buttoned up. Need the clear part and the sides painted on the beacon.
