    Thanks! It is somewhat obscure although Airfix did produce a 1/144 scale version.They have Youtube videos of it taking off and due to that huge top wing it just seems to leap into the air!

    Added the engines and props.I still have to glaze in the nose and add some aerials but she is nearly done!

    I mounted up the lower engines today and placed the props into the engines for the photos.I won't mount the upper engines and props until all of the other work is done.

    I attached the tail unit today using 5-minute epoxy.The extended set time allowed me to adjust the fit.

    I was finally able to resume work on this beast!I mounted up the wheels.Next Up: Prepare the tail assembly for installation.

    I had to make the fender braces out of thin brass strip. Came out pretty well.

    I still have to make the mounts for the fenders but I put on the wheels and propped it up on a Lego block.Lookin' good!

    I had to make,primer and paint 2 more braces for the landing gear.I swear Handley-Page built this thing like a tank!

    WEll Mahogany is a tight-grained wood so I don't think there would be much figure on prop-grade Mahogany.The neck of my guitar is Mahogany and it dosen't have much figure like curly maple or ash.

    I decided to use heavy gauge,solid core wire for my exhaust pipes.The wire is the correct diameter and after I stripped the insulation off the end it fit in the whole I drilled in the engine block.I painted them with Model Master Rust followed by Burnt Metal metallizer.

    Ok! after a long delay I re-started this project.I got the engines painted and black-washed and painted the props to represent mahogany.

    Thanks guys!I have never built a kit quite like this,and I've built hundreds of kits the last 35 plus years!I've built vac-forms but they were monoplanes!Plus the bi-planes I've built have been 1/48 fighters and they only have from 6-8 struts!(never built a tri-plane)I'll never forget this one...

    Today I started the process of attaching the top wing.I used 2-part epoxy to attch the outer wing struts and engine to lower wing struts.i have to obtain more strut material to custom fit the engine to fuselage struts as well as fabricate extensions to allow some of the shorter struts to reach...
