    Pocher Rolls Royce Phantom 1:8

I have 2 others. One is a jewelry cleaner that is rather small and doesn't really work all that well. The other is one that was for cleaning the old time drafting technical pens.

Paddy, that rear end really turned out nice!

Harbor freight has a couple. The good quality jewelry ones like at work are VERY expensive, but I picked up one like this for $130 on sale at Harbor Freight a while back and it works very nicely. I don't think it would hold up to heavy usage every day, but for occasional cleaning of parts it...

    3D Printing and Blender files

What Bob (Moon Puppy) said! Looking really good Greg! The front spring link pin is perfect. The rear of each leaf spring needs something like this otherwise it would not be able to flex up and down as the ends would not be able to move. Just a detail if you want to do it.

The cross members and side rails would also probably be channel steel, or I beam style, not solid rectangular cross section bars. (welded together of course) The cross members would not have the holes in them that you have. If you are going for accuracy, the springs would not go into blocks on...

I have not looked at the built Alfa in years. It is boxed up safe (someplace) It probably has some of the split issues as well though it was assembled more or less correctly. I have a different Rolls kit. I wonder if the brake parts are the same between them. I could look I guess.

    M1A2 SEP TUSK II ABRAMS

It really does not look like it is 1/72 scale. Well done Terry.

USS Carl Vinson, CVN-70 Honor Model.

At the hobby shop this last weekend I spotted a 1/700 scale model of CVN-74 (don't remember the name) Would that kit be better for the build than the Nimitz?

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

I took a bit over 1200 photos at the museum, Yeah, Twelve HUNDRED! I got a lot of detail shots of WWI through WWII aircraft. The Air Force literally has the planes close enough where you can easily touch them. No one that I noticed were pushing that envelope though. What this means is that my...

    1/16 Scale Tools

Interesting! I am a watchmaker and have over the years done a lot of hobby machining to make parts and to modify kits. Doing the work in the hobby allows me to keep in practice for when I cannot make a mistake. It also makes it easier to do the fine jobs as I use the fine tolerances even when...

    Pocher Rolls Royce Phantom 1:8

There were two things I discovered with the mechanical brakes on the Alfa I built years ago. They are touchy and the linkages were all a bit on the loose side. They worked (sort of) and that was good enough.

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

I did some web searches and found out that there are some original sections still in existence, but no complete glider. Here is a photo I found. Another thing. Went to the Air Force museum a week ago, and saw the Memphis Belle in all her glory. They did a fabulous job with restoration on...
