    tubing

many moons ago i got some 1mm black tubing in a kit, i cant remember what it was but the best way to describe it was "limp". If i said you could take a yard of it , hold it above a bench then lower it and coil it as it hit the bench under its own weight , that might describe how loose and limp...

    Nice photos.

I looked as gaspatch but they dont do the type i would need where the turn buckle is on the end of the wire with just a loop fixing to the wing, i will probably make my own a bit like bobs buckles. cheaper as well :)

    Nice photos.

I downloaded them for myself Bob but i didnt want to use your band width on them. So long as the link works people can get them if they want them.

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

It would work but its quite thin . i haven't tried it but i did put a puddle of it (dome)on my thumb nail and shone the light at it and it set in the dome ....got a bit hot as well :-) The only disadvantage i would say is you need to be able to get the UV light at it so it might not work on say...

    Nice photos.

Looking ahead to a future project i have been looking for pictures of an Airco DH9 . Its a very rare aircraft now and pictures are hard to find. HAC have a flying example but they dont allow downloads etc of pictures from their website however. Its now up for sale and the seller agents have...

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Oh so maybe it is new to some. :) its unlike me to be ahead of the game. its not expensive. this bottle will last a lifetime and was £9 GBP including the UV pen which is USB rechargeable. its not going to go off it has the consistency of std CA glue. Because it not sticky its easy to...

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

I expect everyone else found this last century but its new to me. you can spend forever getting clear parts exactly where you want them and the glue never goes off till you shine the UV light at it :) its crystal clear so almost invisible and works on anything.

    MFH Matra MS11 FINISHED

I found i had made my first silly mistake this morning. Given how far i have got i let myself off with a warning 🤣 I have probably drilled 1000 holes so far in this thing but i totally missed the exhaust holes in the head. its been a bit of a rescue mission as i couldn't get a 2mm drill in...

    High noon on D Day

"Promise not to take shots at them! Well maybe they should avoid some neighborhoods just to be safe..." Those Hawks are so old now the neighbourhoods are in far more danger :-) I read the other day that there are only 29 still flying and all are over 80% through their airframe life.

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

£135 is still a lot but then the new P51 from eduard (which probably wont fit together being Eduard) is £100 so maybe in terms of value for money a WnW for £135 is now good value. My WnW Bristol fighter is one of only a hand full of builds i have kept over the years and the DH4 will sit well...

    High noon on D Day

Trooping the colour this morning in front of King Charles Royal regiments take turns in trooping their colour and this year it was the The King's Company, 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards celebrating their 370th year. Always a stirring occasion. Regimental colours, usually the regimental flag, was...
