    Do it again Rosie

I think you would be lucky to find a filament bulb over here now, most were banned years ago. I dont know but i would guess a new filament would be better than a used one that had done thousands of heat cycles. ? i think my approach would be to wind my own to fit given most springs on models are...

    Bob's Work Bench

All my paint bottles are in a box somewhere :-) i just dig out what i might need at the start of a build. I havent felt the need to build a display case for them ...yet 🤣

Sorry i am just catching up here Bob. That undersize piece of clear !!!! why do they do that ? they could give you an A4 sheet and it wouldn't cost as much as them trying to cut up a piece to size. On my last car build Italeri give you a piece of 7mm tubing to make some hoses. its 30mm long and...

    This looks interesting

Ah thats why it took my interest because the sea fury is an unusual subject . The sea fury used the basic (modified) Hawker tempest fuselage and wings , Furies fought in the Korean war in the Royal navy in the ground attack role The hornet was really the next step on from the Mosquito but...

Next up from Kotaire, a P-47 Razorback

I think it will drive traditional builders away from the hobby. I am already spending more than i want to on MFH models because the challenge is still there in the building and achieving something that represents your skill level. Basically MFH models are only as good as the builder, and thats...

Next up from Kotaire, a P-47 Razorback

Yea i supose you are right but these are construction kits. This is leaning towards the ready assembled :) Then where will our hobby be . Its horses for courses but we are already seeing ready painted, Tamiya are doing some ready assembled bar a dozen parts now.

Couldn't you just break that barrel down to shorter lengths ? off set the tail stock for the taper ?

    1/16 scale Tiger 1 early.

I know nothing about Tanks but the surface detail on the track links looks good. I hope you dont lose it under paint.

Love the concept but "minimal parts count" and "detail only where it matters" kills it stone dead for me.

    Fiat Mephistopheles (take 2.FINISHED

I finished this last night and took some pictures this morning. It was quite fun not having to follow any rules and doing a bit of scratch building. The engine turning was good fun and a learning experience. I probably could have taken it further with a screen and things but sometimes less is...

Color Footage: Witness the Final Days of Nazi Germany "UNCENSORED"

Great bit of film and a good watch on Sunday morning with a cup of coffee :-) I think its a shame the British didnt have these sorts of dedicated film crews but i suspect that the US needed this footage to keep the news reals spinning at home and to keep up the support. The british probably had...

    Fiat Mephistopheles (take 2.FINISHED

Yea they were never a good fit especially on the one off home builds. What really surprised me even on production cars was how thin and flimsy the metal was, you could lift a side at the front and it might twist 5-6" down its length.

    Fiat Mephistopheles (take 2.FINISHED

On all these Italeri/Protar kits, getting the hood to fit is the key. The problem with this one was the sag in the chassis which runs from pretty near the join between hood and body. I got rid of the sag and i also moved the radiator back about 2-3mm . even so i got the RHS to fit ok but the...
