Yea i supose you are right but these are construction kits. This is leaning towards the ready assembled :) Then where will our hobby be . Its horses for courses but we are already seeing ready painted, Tamiya are doing some ready assembled bar a dozen parts now.

Couldn't you just break that barrel down to shorter lengths ? off set the tail stock for the taper ?
