Ryefield Models M1240A1 M-ATV, US MRAP All Terrain Vehicle

So, somehow, somewhere, a part fell off. I have swept, searched, moved everything, I got nuttin. The piece is one of a matching pair on the front bumper. I had some PE left over from the Missouri ship. I improvised with two pieces of the crane to replace what look like a towing rig. It is not...

Ha! Yer right! I am calling it...it's done :beer Except for this part. Model #2, the engine. I have to admit that some of the instructions are not clear. An arrow points to a general area on the backside of the part in hand and you have to figure out how and where the part attaches, and it is...

Ryefield Models M1240A1 M-ATV, US MRAP All Terrain Vehicle

Model #1 is assembled. The engine really is next this time. The details are just crazy on the kit. The plastic IS very soft though. Not a huge drawback, it is manageable; just an FYI.

So this tow hook was somply butt joined to the frame and kept getting knocked off. I cut the connecting rod off and drilled out the hook and the frame with a 1.2mm bit and used the 1.22mm tube to make a sturdier connection point.

Ryefield Models M1240A1 M-ATV, US MRAP All Terrain Vehicle

Everything seems stable this morning. In preparation for painting the chassis I painted the back side of the light with Vallejo Metal Color Chrome paint, and masked the lens with Val masking fluid. The support bars are made of brass tubing because...well...2 of the kit pieces went flying never...

Ryefield Models M1240A1 M-ATV, US MRAP All Terrain Vehicle

Ok, it is time to get back to this one. Enough distractions already! I have watched some videos on how others build it. They all agree to complete the painting in stages then combine at the end and do touch up as needed. So basically it will be ten or so little complete models then put them...

"My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.", or.. "Smile when you say that, Punk!" For @Sharkmouth Saul, who is generous to a fault.

So, would it be caused by the wings or the prop? The images I find show two vortices swirling inward behind the plane but they are all twin engine jets.

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

That's a negative ghost rider. But if they are like any other enamel such as Testors, Humbrol, or MCW, thinning and cleaning with Xylene will do the trick for airbrushing or brush brushing. For brush brushing a Sable hair (particularly Kolinski sable but 'spensive as H E double hockey sticks)...

    New guy

Welcome to the madnesss BM. I build pretty much everything, but I particularly love 3D modeling and have been using Blender for a couple of years. So far, I have done nothing organic like making a person, but I can make cars, motors, tires, trailers, etc. I currently am running one Elegoo Saturn...
