    Japanese Work Crew-Finished

Re:Japanese Work Crew-tree/base progress I have some static grass but I haven't had much luck with it before. I'll probably add tufts of it around the sidewalk and tree and go for a cartoonish feel with the dio in general. I'm thinking of adding texture to the "grass" with chalk pastels. The...

How Many Of These Did You Have??

Major Matt Mason sounds pretty cool. I had a few Johnny West figures and they ruled! I remember my brother and I having Johnny West with his horse, Geronimo (my favourite), a Cavalryman, and a bad guy in black duds. They had lots of cool accessories.

Terry's "Paris Rest Stop" FINISHED 3-12-10

Nice, lots going on there. I like the figure with the apple, converted from the old Tamiya SdKfz 7 kit?

US MARINE AUTOMATIC RIFLEMAN PACIFIC 1945

Re:US MARINE AUTOMATIC RIFLEMAN IWO JIMA 1945 Giovanni, the "Marines" group build just started two days ago. I expect you could still join. I'm joining with some tiny figures. Again, this figure you finished is inspired. Thanks for sharing. Ted

Nice Pavel, I like the machine gun blockade. It and the figures add a sense of urgency.

    Juno Beach LCA

Here's a video of the scene I'd like to protray. Now if only I could robotically animate 1/35 plastic and resin figures.

    120mm British Airbourne

Thanks Jenny! It would be fun to see photos of members' "first" models compared to what they build now, like a "Then and Now" gallery. My local hobby shop has a few of these 1/16th Dragon and Miniart figures. The price is right so I'll probably get a couple more. Although the detail was good...

    120mm British Airbourne

Thanks Brad and Bob. Here's the completed figure. The resin base is from rjproducts IIRC. I'm happy with how it turned out. Now I want to do a few more 1/16 figures.

    Juno Beach LCA

I'll try building a dio around this scene. It's the North Shore Regiment from New Brunswick in the initial assault on D-Day. The pictures are from a film shot aboard the LCA. There will have to be about 40 converted figures and the LCA will have to be scratchbuilt :silly: .

Good detective work. I think your justification for the weathering make sense. The rust looks real.

    120mm British Airbourne

Here's the Dragon 1/16th scale British Airbourne Sergeant. I sculpted the beret with two part putty. I painted the face with oils over acrylic and the rest with Vallejo acrylics. Still lots of work to do, I have to tone down the camo and the brass bits. Overall I'm happy with the figure, the...
