    F4U-4 Korean War 1/48th scale

There's a small gap in the upper surface that requires filling and underneith the bulges for the gear door hinges were cut off. Bondo was used to fill in the gun fairings. Gary S.

    F4U-4 Korean War 1/48th scale

No, it's from stuff I've been collecting over the years and there's a lot of it. Just ask my wife. As far as the model goes. The places where the hinges are was a depression the was filled with a couple of layers of sheet plastic. The oil cooler fairings need cleaning up along with the wing...

    F4U-4 Korean War 1/48th scale

Finally got the wings together without too much trouble. Added belly tank and started on the bombs. Now if I can stop getting glue on my fingers and spreading it on the model and not ending up with a hairball. Gary S.

    F4U-4 Korean War 1/48th scale

The main gear doors are glued shut. The fit is not too bad. Then the wing hinges per instructions and the wings did not line up so I flipped the hinges and that solved the alignment issue. There's a small fit issue under the nose in front of the wing which is being filled with Crazy glue. Gary S.

    F4U-4 Korean War 1/48th scale

These tail wheel doors have become quite a project. Made a fairing from a bomb taken from the Mustang kit. Don't know how accurate it is, but it looks better I think. The horizontal stab was installed and needs a little more filling of knock outs underside near the tips. Gary S.
