    Harley 750 WLA FINISHED

I dont think Fusion Chrome is available in the UK. i seem to remember looking for it before. If i can find out exactly what it is then i am sure other manufacturers will market it under their own brand,

Bob i used to know a chap that spent hours editing the pictures of his models to make them -perfect....................i never did understand why ? I think if there is any value in my build threads its because i show what's gone wrong, not so much, what's gone right

I think we are being forced into new tech not because its better, its just easier ...but they sell it on being better. Over here the phone phone system across the country is being converted to fibre optic. its nowhere near as good as the old copper lines but they need fibre to satisfy the huge...

In my experience the major problem with phone pictures other than for selfies is the lens. People like me dont spend £1k on a lens for the camera and think a £20 plastic phone lens 5mm wide is going to to cut it :) To get round this problem the phones use a huge amount of processing power to...

The first one was Steve MacQueen's......who am i to argue :) I think the Chrome look is a modern restoration thing, i cant find an original with chrome. Probably not much of a thing in 1937. The bling Harleys came along in the 1960's i think

Hmmm, i dont like this This chrome cover doesnt stand scrutiny from anywhere less than 3ft away :-) My options are limited really, its just too bigger surface for chrome paints. Its also not durable. I find chrome paints work quite well on smaller parts where the surface is not big enough...

As a foot note, please dont use imgur as we in the UK and soon Europe can no longer see pictures posted there. I sometimes post on "the modellers social club" and i can no longer see 75% of the pictures there. Yes you can use a VPN but its a pain to keep switching it on and off as half the...

Its an odd way of doing things but i use Flickr if i post on other sites which will give you a choice of picture size and a link code you can post on here like this. 18451_Sukhoi-Su-27UB_71 by Paddy barratt, on Flickr If you click the picture it will; take you to flickr The thing is this...

ha ha i am honoured but thats the real thing. Far easier to build....:-) Tried everywhere to find decals but no chance...what makes me laugh is i can get them for the real thing for $20 but anything for models start at $40..but no Harley logo. i did find some for 1/12 but they will be too small

    Harley 750 WLA FINISHED

Its actually the other way round. The bike was originally launched in 1937 as a WLD, the WLA was a military conversion in 1942 so what i am trying to build is a WLD using the later WLA kit this is a WLD, the tank badge was a cast alloy affair hear is another Apart from the fenders the...

    Harley 750 WLA FINISHED

I struggle a bit with decals as i always think the home print papers are a bit limiting with ink jet. Of course the Harley needs tank decals. Fortunately Harley change their logo like the rest of us change our socks so unless you are a rivet counter there is quite a choice. My first attempt was...

The lens has 17 elements, if the lens has had a knock an Element may be out of line. it could be just a poor quality element , this usually shows up in the peripheral but highly unlikely as this is a Nikon $600 lens. I will have to look in to it a bit further.

Interesting, different lens and better, looks like my 50120 is shot, Zooms are never that good but you shouldn't see such an obvious difference in this size.

Photo Preview: Dragon 3204 1/32nd scale Bf 109E-4/7

I had a huge problem getting the engine fire wall and the gun platform/instrument panel to fit and couldn't close the fuselage sides up with out cutting about 2mm off the afore mentioned. The part in Saul's last picture was the real issue, it was just too small :-)l .
