USS Enterprise D (04-10-14) Done!! Finally!!

USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D (Sci-Fi) I like that idea Rhino, your way adds to reflection by using the transparent piece to add depth. They used to paint slot cars like that- start inside and last coat first- I used this before on my old saucer build, it does work! Nice job on that D. CR

USS Enterprise D (04-10-14) Done!! Finally!!

USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D (Sci-Fi) I bet he means he put the clear coat down before the Alclad- that makes sense. If you check my build of the phaser Rifle in Sci-Fi you'll see i mixed Alclad Transparent blue with model master acrylic, it worked better than expected. Have fun. CR :drinks

Extra space is always a good thing but it's a rule of physics that no matter how large your work space you will always work in a 6"x6" area.

USS Enterprise D (04-10-14) Done!! Finally!!

USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D (Sci-Fi) There's a thread on Starship Modeler where some guy went hard core and scribed this kit using the decals as a guide then painted the panels individually. Yikes- good luck Adam, can't wait to see your solution to this. CR

    Decal Paper

I agree with Bob, "Experts Choice" is the only brand of decal paper I could find locally here in Columbia. I have had copies made on both the laser and ink jet pages- really good stuff except for all the trimming.

So logical---Someone out in the neighborhood just remodeled their kitchen and there are two drawers sitting in that pile that were made with these partitions- hope they are still there. Great idea! :yipee
