The Trumpeter wheels are plastic but the tyres are fully DS. I didnt paint over the rubber on my original fifteen year old build, I just weathered them with pigments and it still wears them without melting any styrene. They they do look to be of better quality compared to the melting qualities...

Great reference books. I get a buzz out of knowing the vehicle's history and ultimately what the kit is supposed to look like, even if I don't end up re-working every single ommision or accuracy issue. ;)
