2025 Plastic Surgeons Meetings and Other Fun!

Kevin didn't go. I hear he plans to depart 28 July. We are all sure he is being scammed by a Mikaela Shiffrin imposter. I sent the "Hey, I need a favor" text as the opener for a joke about never modifying/remaking another 3D print to make a TLAR model kit to some of my friends. Kevin hasn't...

    PART 5B U-190 9C/40 1945 - 1/72 SCALE (Revell 05133)

This sort of base for your U-Boat would be thought provoking. This is the coolest ocean effect I ever saw!

Do you have Microsoft File Explorer? Open the image like you were going to edit it. Right click the image and select "Resize Image". Mine is present to "pixels". Reduce the width to 1200 or so. The height will adjust itself. click "Save". Be sure it is going to the folder you wish for...

Practice, practice, practice............... Pink marker, flesh marker, brown marker, Tamiya flat flesh, Sandgelb, Tamiya clear red, diluted Tamiya clear red (HEY!) wood tan. Diluted Tamiya clear red seemed the breast shade for this project. Finally!

1/350 US Coast Guard Island class 110' Cutter. TLAR Models #425

1/350 Island class WPB bridge windows are coming along. The inclined frames are just a nutbuster to get right. The adhesive for these individual p/e winders is X-22 as well. Time consuming this is. Relentless I must be, yes. Thanks guys!

It's 46 scale feet long. This is kinda fun, but I honestly don't even like a catamaran much. They are dandy for novice sailors because they pitch some, but don't really roll much. You get a lot of time to trim up your sails and choose your course, because they typically aren't very speedy...

I was quite keen to see your build of the engine. Will the chunky door hinges operate then?

1/350 US Coast Guard Island class 110' Cutter. TLAR Models #425

Another interesting use for Tamiya X-22 Clear has been found. Dab this on miniscule gaps, wait a bit and sand it off with almost no fuss! EUREKA!

As you can see, I stepped the mast 10 (?) scale feet too far aft. This reduces the overall mainsail area by 47%. In a running mod. an appropriate hole will be drilled in the salon roof for the correct location as castings come out of the mold. The sunshade for the helm are plastic parts and...

    1/720 USS Enterprise

No pardon needed. An opportunity to learn something! Jet Blast Deflector. Those plates that go behind the catapult tracks. They are raised to do what the name implies to keep from burning the dogsnot out of other jets in the launch queue.

I might would use the elastic thread on controls and the rigid stuff on structural rigging. The lines add quite a lot of strength to the model.

    Dancing bears is closed. Sorry.

OOOooooH Baren!! Als Ich diesem gefressen hatte, sind sie Obstsuesige schmecken werden! ("The more I chew them, the fruitier they get!") A guy would think for what a kit like this sells for, they would come with accurate, appropriate tracks at least. The big scale bug hasn't bit me yet...
