Paddy, you are hampered by knowing too much about photography! I have been thinking about setting up a computer driven 60 inch TV for a backdrop that I can put photos on. The brightness could be varied and then the base has to roll off at the back or blend in somehow. An interesting project...

The Irving work is really nice, Gary. Don't worry about the Beaufighter cockpit, crew or not you can't see much of it.

I have had the Bare Metal scriber for a long time and it is pretty good. If you can afford them, Tamiya makes a range of scribing tools in different widths that are very good and cost as much as a kit. I have two of them. They fit in a pin vise and I like them very much.

Going to stop where I am, though I would have liked to have worked on the panel lines a bit more. The fragility of the landing gear made that too difficult for me and my shaky hands. Apparently the maker really wanted a scale size landing gear and that resulted in very weak struts, made worse...
