I posted earlier in the week about the omitted parts. Here is an update. I was able to get the major parts all done and made. I still have 3 of the minor ones to do and a bunch of nuts and bolts to do. Might look into ordering some as this is probably going to be a thing with these big kits...

James I have been enjoying the fire out of building the Pak 40. Can hardly wait to finish it, then I have an 8 wheel car, 3 half tracks, a Stug and the Panzer 3 as well as a Kubelwagen. I wish I had bought a couple more of the 1/16th Revell 1950 Beetles as I have some things that could be done...

Been working on my Pak 40 and the fireworks in my neighborhood have started up. No real reason to go anywhere today. I think you will be surprised at the parts I made for the Pak 40 that were missing. The only thing I kind of need now are nut and bolt heads. A bunch.

I get it Paddy, I really do. Here in the US we have our standard, then there is the metrics. As a watchmaker there are a bunch of micro metric threads that seem to have become the standards. I am so used to all of them that I swap between with little trouble. I suspect it will probably stay...

Yeah, they usually use PE stuff to do it. Thing is there are no real turnbuckles on the late war British aircraft.

When I built my 1/48th Albatros, I placed the flying lines with fine nylon line. Worked quite well. To simulate the turnbuckles, I used a piece of the same nylon line cut to length. Then used a little super glue to round it up it worked fairly well on the 1/48th scale kit. Something to...

Welcome George! I also build and collect a LOT of 1/32 aircraft. I also have a lot of everything else 1/35th and occasionally build smaller stuff. As I am a watchmaker by trade, I tend to go overboard on detailing stuff out. (can't help it, I see it, I have to fix it) Feel free to ask...

Farce Book has something similar with shorts that they run. I have gone down that rabbit hole a number of times. The good thing about it is that I have run across some really NEAT tools and suppliers that I would not have known about otherwise.
