    Looking for 1/32 JU 88

I actually found one of the 75th anniversary panel van kits on Amazon of all places. Should be here Tuesday (or maybe Wednesday) Wasn't cheap, but wasn't ridiculous either considering the times.

Starting to get a bit excited about this

Looks like an interesting build Paddy. I will be looking forward to watching you do your magic to it.

    Looking for 1/32 JU 88

Oh, and there were 2 different Ju88 kits. There was the A1 which is what I am building and the A4 which had different wing tips and the rear cockpit was different.

    Looking for 1/32 JU 88

At one point they were plentiful. I guess that Revell is just waiting till it is re-release time. I want to get several of their 1/16th early 50's split window beetle kits. I have one, but have some builds I would like to do and I would need about 3 more. Plus would like one of the 1/16th...

    Wingnut Wings Sopwith Triplane

I had one line on my 1/48th Albatros that was a little loose once I had all the lines applied. I used a small soldering iron. Thing is I have used that iron for over 30 years and have a lot of respect for what heat it puts out. I held it over an inch below the line I needed to draw up and...

I also have the Leopold and Morser kits as well as the Arizona and Titanic. The largest is the 1/48th B-36 with a 5 foot wingspan.

    Wingnut Wings Sopwith Triplane

That doesn't surprise me. They made their kits to be accurate and sometimes the kit weight is quite a bit more than the original plane would have been proportionally.

    Wingnut Wings Sopwith Triplane

Set it in place like you have it, then measure the distance from the lower wing tip to the table top. They should be the same, if not then adjust. Of course I would probably use my crazy jig to get it all prepped before gluing. When it is lined up add glue and walk away till later.

Panzer III Ausf J. Das Werks, 1/16 scale.

The one thing about the Harder & Steenbeck airbrushes that I really like is how easy they come apart for cleaning. Where the Badgers are a pain to take the nozzle and tips off, the H & S is so easy and the parts are large enough that they are quite easy to handle and clean. The back part of...

It's looking really, really good Bob!

Panzer III Ausf J. Das Werks, 1/16 scale.

Looking good Tim! Always like the Panzer III and Stug III tanks. My first tank model was a 1/32 scale Stug III I believe was put out by Monogram. Have no idea what happened to it. Have managed to get my Pak 40 all sand color. Need to assemble the shield on it now and add final details with...

    Oshkosh by gosh

The German seaplane BV-138 had I believe 3 diesel engines. It was also the last kit produced by HPH in 1/32 scale. I would have probably jumped on it but the $500+ price tag stopped me at the time I saw it. So sad that HPH went under. Hopefully someone will be selling off any left over...

    Dora 1/35

Yeah, I can see the "War Dept" being quite involved with the location. Even though I have not had to deal with that in 20+ years, I have been quite reserved about building some of my larger kits. Will probably work on a display "box" before doing any large plane builds and might be back in...

I guess I will figure it out when I get there.

Das Werk 7.5cm Pak 40 in 1/16th scale = FINISHED

From what I have seen the Dullcoat is still being made and is available. Always worked fine for me.

    Possibly my new obsession...

I had old VW beetles back in high school. My first car bit it on some ice. Over the years I bought a number of REALLY old 50's era beetles of which I believe most of them have probably survived in one form or another.. I know the 1947 I had back in the 80's went to California, then back to...

Panzer III Ausf J. Das Werks, 1/16 scale.

There is a slide piece in the Pak 40 that follows the barrel when it is elevated. There are 2 arms that mount to the back of the plate and the plate slides up and down between the 2 layers of the shield. The arms fit into holes on the sides of the frame under the gun and while they tended to...

There is the Russian Antonov A-40 flying tank Bob.

    Revell P-51D-5

Makes you wonder just how they actually test build the test shots on these kits. I get it that there can be some change in the plastic once it is out of the mold, but in a lot of cases it is a real surprise just how poorly these kits fit.
