Tu-95MS Bear II in 1/200 scale

Trumpy, read mostly favorable reports on it and I've had good luck building their large kits. My experience with Amodel shied me away from doing anything this large from them.

WNW and TVAL closing? The End

No matter what happens it's unlikely the kits will go away for ever unless PJ hordes the tooling for spite (or dumps it in the ocean like they did with the Delorian tooling). The tooling is too valuable not to sell. They are still cranking out kits from the tooling of almost all of the now long...

Tu-95MS Bear II in 1/200 scale

Thanks guys, of the three kits I've build in this series from Dragon this is my least favorite and the next one I do will be one without propellers !🤪 And yes the 1/72 kit is big, when it arrived my first thought was OMG what have I done

Tu-95MS Bear II in 1/200 scale

OK, done at last. as I mentioned previously the painting diagram was woefully inadequate but Wiki provided a nice high definition photo of an aircraft from the same (group/squadron or what ever the Russians use) and I decided to use it as my guide. Close examination of the photo will show many...

Welcome to the new Modelers Alliance

Seems like an odd choice for a default time, was the software developed in the Soviet Union ?

    A Shelf Queen - TriMaster Fw-190 A8 R11 Night Fighter - Finished

I have a Dragon Trimaster Fw 190D-9 repop that has been on my SOD for quite a while, I pulled it out a couple years back and found that the cockpit had broken loose inside the fuselage. It was around this time I was become frustrated with the detail level and my ability to work with kits as...

Tu-95MS Bear II in 1/200 scale

Well, not going to make the deadline. I was on track for a photo finish just before midnight then the excrement hit the rotating air deflector blades. Unmasking was in progress, I had used some Micro-mask on the area of the nose where tape didn't want to work. When I tried to peel it off, it...

    Quarantine

Being retired and living the life of a hermit, this stay at home thing hasn't really affected me. I can still go to the park for my daily jaunt and other places for necessities as required. I had some stock of TP before this started which was a good thing as the shelves have been empty in all...

    Bronco 1/72 BV P178

Nice :thumbsup Good choice on the markings as the color scheme does remind me of some of the Italian paint jobs !

Tu-95MS Bear II in 1/200 scale

Tu-95MS Bear II in 1/200 scale Well the month is two thirds gone so I guess I'd better get cracking ! I'm not impressed with kit so far, fit is not nearly as good as the two previous kits I built in this series. The instructions are pretty lame as well especially the painting diagrams. That...

    Bronco 1/72 BV P178

Bronco 1/72 BV P178 Looks cool to me ! One thing about these Luft 46 models, no one can tell tell you the paint scheme is wrong !

    Now this is macro!

Seeing stuff that small would do me no good at all as I would never be able to manipulate it with my shaky old hands :oldguy

    JU 86 E-2

Missed this one all together, I usually collapse the Masters section so I don't need to scroll to the center of the earth to get to the rest of the site. Epic build so far :thumbsup , looking forward to seeing it completed as I'm sure you are as well

    Bronco 1/72 BV P178

Bronco 1/72 BV P178 Ah yes, another one of Dr. Vogt's asymmetrical designs, but this one has me puzzled as a jet engine for all intents and purposes has to torque to counter act and I would think that having the thrust offset from the center line would create more problems that it would fix...
