    Special Hobby P-39Q Airacobra

I just saw a video about the shark mouth versions on Guadelcanal. They were P-400's of the 67th fighter squadron and they had a different exhaust and armament. Nice work so far and great pics. Gary S.

    1/720 USS Enterprise

Painted the dark gray yesterday and pulled the tapes off to show the stripes. Next I have to figure out the yellow dashes on the center stripe. In the photo the island and flight deck are just placed on not glued yet. Gary S.

Hope you can work the bugs out. I've always like the looks of this aircraft. My uncle flew them at Guadalcanal. Gary S.

    1/720 USS Enterprise

The masking of the flight deck stripes is done. Not going for perfection I didn't do every one, just the major ones to make it look interesting. Next is to paint the dark gray on it. Gary S.

    1/720 USS Enterprise

Thanks! That's because it's still taped off. Yesterday the lower hull was painted a mixture of colors to make "hull red". At least what I think hull red looks like. Also yellow was painted on the flight deck elevator areas which will be taped off to make the warning stripes. Gary S.

    1/720 USS Enterprise

Most of the deck stripes are masked off. Still need to do the elevators. Used quarter inch Tate for the black stripe on the hull. It may be a little too wide. Gary S.

    1/720 USS Enterprise

Decided to try my luck at making a hanger deck by using cardboard from a cereal box. It sorta works. I used the kit door closers to use as floor supports then caulked it in. Not sure if I like it or not having all of the elevators in the down position. The flight deck was painted white and the...

    1/720 USS Enterprise

"I don't think so Tim".😄 The fit is too bad. Meanwhile, more work done on the SS Bondo Queen. This is going to require multiple layers and a lot of sanding. I'm also contemplating adding a hanger deck if I can scrounge up enough plastic. Gary S.

    1/720 USS Enterprise

After finishing the M-46 model, I wasn't sure what to build next. I was finishing reading a book ad out the 2nd Armored Division in WWII and starting a book by Gen. E. Harmon. So while I was waiting to be inspired, I decided to dust my models and room which was long over due. After rearranging...

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Not my greatest of acquisitions. A couple of days ago we went to an other antique place and this kit was there for $19.9, so I bought it. The only interior parts are the "instrument panel" and a seated pilot figure. I'm going to use leftover P-51 parts from the A-36 A/M kit. It will be built...
