    A pair of desert snakes

The rocket pods are installed. At the time of the Desert Storm photo, the Whiskey Cobra was armed with Stinger missiles. The kit only had Hellfire rockets so that is what was used. Now I'm trying to paint the tail rotors showing the effects of the sand blasting wear. Gary S.

The Whiskey Cobra didn't have much markings, but I had to piece together them from different decal sheets. Started on the task of decaling the rockets. I also made a tail stinger out of a piece of wire. Gary S.

The decals were applied without too much trouble. They are homemade by printing one the last of my clear decal sheet. I tried sizing them as best I could. I think they are a bit oversized. The "Sand Shark" on the right side was hand drawn in pencil and then filled in with a fine tipped Sharpe...

The weather finally warmed up some in order to paint the W model. Yesterday the darker brown was sprayed on using Restore flat brown. This morning the tail boom was painted Slate Gray acrylic craft paint. In the process of un taping, I broke off the upper antenna and lost it. It might in the...

    A pair of desert snakes

The Centaur was probably added last. We had a stemple that we used. Also the teeth are not done in the original pattern. The above Cobra was the first ship painted with Centaur teeth. The translation is #1 Mother F'er. This Cobra is after my time when my unit moves to Phu Bai up in I Corps on...
