HMS Audacity. From gaming miniature to 1/700 waterline model.

Fujimi 1/700 Grumman F4F-4 Wildcats will be employed for Royal Navy 802 Squadron Martlet I's, once their wing fold is filled and sanded. I had a drawer with a dozen or so Wildcats in it. 6 is plenty. Oh Mr. Cap-holder.............. These will do as for starting place. Thanks for looking in!
  2. Rhino

HMS Audacity. From gaming miniature to 1/700 waterline model.

In my excitement, one may have removed one's maskings just a bit too soon, to see how Audacity's camo came out. She looks quite "Western Approach-ish", does she not?

2025 Plastic Surgeons Meetings and Other Fun!

Today, we voyaged North. Up Highway 65 to Colo for the Plastic Surgeons cook-out/potluck. When you turn north from Hiway 330, you pass through Collins (Collitis?) and 8 miles later, you arrive in Colo (Colonoscopy?) at the home of Joachim and Aimee Lotz. I now know what a braided pork loin...

2025 Plastic Surgeons Meetings and Other Fun!

A critical piece of TLAR Models equipment shit-the-bit this morning. Farewell (Taps playing in the background) good and faithful coffee machine. You served well, using well water. The Newbie coffee pot had better know what he is about! I still have a couple of Tannerite canisters on hand.

Outstanding! Molten metal is tough on silicone molds, even if you use the hi-temp variety.

Does building such a large scale model Panzer kit not feel a little bit like cheating?

I'm using my 4th Testors Aztek. Quite "Elite" indeed! :yipee:

Aye, She's quite the vessel. Be there piratey figures?

HMS Audacity. From gaming miniature to 1/700 waterline model.

The Royal Navy Research Archive has yielded a much needed picture of HMS Audacity's port side and flight deck camo, on a sunny day! The port conning platform is clearly visible. Jolly Good! If I can see it, I can build it. This renders my flight deck casting quite moot, of course. The 3D...

P'raps little was known, at that time about U-751's iden-tity or arm-a-ment, as it were.

    The MFH Rescue Centre

Build it like link & length tank tracks and install it is sections? That was all I could think of.

I wanted my carrier back. Removing her from the mold caused minimal damage to the original and it was easily repaired. Using the last of this batch of LPP, I carefully cast the new mold... A copy mold of the Pensacola lighthouse was also made and cast. A pretty good day! Thanks for looking in!

I joined X. My objective is to promote sales at tlarmodels.com I joined the Just For Fun Modeling group as a first step. In my initial ineptitude I discovered this group is UK based. Given shipping costs and VAT it is not likely many of these men will be my customer. Quite a few Japanese...

Fair winds and following seas in your travels! I'm sure we'll still be around when you return.

HMS Audacity. From gaming miniature to 1/700 waterline model.

As one can plainly see (hem) Rhino quite lacks the ability to contain himself. One might advise him "Not everything requires a mold, old chap", as it were. A flight deck casting of my old Audacity may well prove as popular as the one-seven-two scale cock pit for the ancient Airfix DE Haviland...
