    Skunkworks Model Workshop 1/48 MQ-9

Nope, this is the Reaper. The Global Hawk is much larger. Skunkworks made a kit of the Global Hawk in 1/48th scale as well, but it seems to be out of production. I would really like to get one of those kits as well if I could find one. Ernie

    Skunkworks Model Workshop 1/48 MQ-9

I spent some time this past weekend working on this. I need more space on my workbench and the only way it seems I am going to get some is to finish the pile of started kits residing there, and also I want to try not to have a shelf of doom, cuz I could use that shelf space for new kits :bgrin...

Photo Review: Thunder Model's Case VAI Tractor

Looks like a cool little kit and a fun build as well. Ironically, I just saw these on Ebay the other night and was wondering about the quality of the kit. Thank you for posting pictures of the sprues. Ernie

    Takom's Turttle

Takrom's Turttle Now that you mention it, it does have a real Sci-Fi look to it, definite potential there! I have not had a lot of trouble with this.....but I have not had any interaction with modeling for the past 5 or 6 months, so it is probably down to my unbridled enthusiasm for actually...

    Takom's Turttle

Over the course of the afternoon I was able to get most of the assembly finished. The wheel well inserts were the poorest fit so far, leaving large gaps between themselves and the body  I got the fit as good as I could then slathered putty over the gaps. The cupola went on ok...

    Takom's Turttle

Takrom's Turttle Thank you James! Good tip on the reinforcement, I planed to run some superglue along the inside joints after I get the copula attached to the hull. I want to keep it a little flexible so I can get as good a fit as possible to the hull then really lock everything together after...

    Takom's Turttle

Takrom's Turttle Yeah, I have way too many kits where I have gotten caught up in that; this or that isn't right, you need this or that aftermarket item etc. Don't get me wrong, I still use that stuff but it is nice to get a kit that you can build a very nice model from right from the box and...

    Takom's Turttle

I have decided to build Takrom's 1/35 scale Skoda Turtle armored car. I have never built a Takrom kit as of yet so I figured this was as good a time as any to try one out. This is a very nice kit! Well detailed and goes together quite well so far. The under body is well detailed for as...
