Holy cow, I had that Anzio set! We had a lot of Corgi stuff too: Batmobile, Batboat, Black Beauty, a bunch of the UFO stuff. My favorite of all was the BMW with sidecar. I loved that toy.

I think the barrels are removed too, but it doesn't jibe with the way I understand how they were equipped. They didn't swap out barrels like the German did with MG42s, right? I thought the gunners grabbed the guns from the armorer pre flight, put 'em in and off they went. If you look at these...

As I gather ref pics for the '17 dio, I keep coming across photos with 50s that look like the barrel is not in the cooling jacket. Any ideas?

Sure. If I had an IV drip of coffee and all meals brought to me, set up a cot and a toilet next to the bench and didn't leave for a year, maybe I'd get the wing done. I did get a great tip from the video, filing over a hole to keep the edge tight.
