Thanks man! Even though I’ve been building scenery for over 40 years, I’ve had some home building jobs on and off to tide me over between theatre jobs. The worst of this was to 90+ degree temps here this past week!

Here’s a few pictures of my lastest 1:1 project. I completely rebuilt the exterior of the mud room at the back of the house. New door new sheathing, new vinyl siding. Now maybe I can get some bench time!

I’m about to pick this back up. My next step will be the gun turret. Then on to prime and paint. Just hoping I don’t break those tiny little .303 gun barrels!

Yeah! It looks like they took the front suspension off a 1965 Pontiac Bonneville and beefed it up. That may have been part of the navalizing it for carrier landings.

How could you tell, Bob? For 33 year old decals they did ok for the most part. I had a couple that went down fine but wrinkled a little as they dried. I haven't seen that before. And there is a little silvering here and there as well. On the whole though, I'm not at all displeased with the...

I got a chance to get to the bench today and did a few touch up were I had some paint lift. Moved on to the wheel wells, masked and painted them. and then shot on a coat of Pledge what ever the hell they're calling it this week to prep for decals.

Good one. Word I’m hearing is the parent company of Testors RPM, is going to phase out manufacture of MM all together. Apparently the suits don’t think there enough profit in hobby paints.

Thank you gents! Yes Bob they’re MM enamels. I’m trying to work my way thru the last of my stock. I’ve got a few assorted bottles live been hoarding and slowly moving over to acrylics sort f the old dog new tricks thing. Duke, the few masking tape pulled up the black bottom paint in a few spots...

And now several hours and many profanities later...... I'll let this mess dry for a few day and then hit it with some gloss.

I now have a coat of black on the lower side and the canopy masked and Im in the process of masking off the black. I should have some Tan and green on it before the day is out.

That clamp! I had to put some muscle into the mix to close up the fuselage! The alignment pins on this thing were more like pegs. Of course they were bigger than their recieveing holes so I had to cut them off. It was a bit of a struggle to keep everything lined up but I managed to get it...
