    AMT 1970-1/2 Z/28 Finished-12/30

Thanks Bob!! The seat belts in this one are of a crossover design. There are shoulder belts that were tucked up in the headliner in the front otherwise I would've laid some belts in there.

    AMT 1970-1/2 Z/28 Finished-12/30

I made a couple of changes and a few upgreades to what was already there OOB. I didn't like the fake looking OOB shifter so I made my own from a bobby pin. PE adorns areas of the dash and a set of keys now hang from the ignition switch.

    AMT 1970-1/2 Z/28 Finished-12/30

Thanks for the laughs and comments fellas!! I did cut that fourth pedal length down as I thought it was entirely too long to begin with. THAT..............had a 440?? WOW!! I can see that thing being a screamer!!

    AMT 1970-1/2 Z/28 Finished-12/30

Thanks Bob, Chris, John and Chris( Rhino). Chrispeme: I haven't seen you in a WHILE man. Hope all is going well for you brother and thanks for the comments. You're right , 302's and 351W had a different firing order. Chris(Rhino): These actually had the 2.02/ 1.60 heads and were rated at 360...

    AMT 1970-1/2 Z/28 Finished-12/30

Managed to get the engine mostly done on this rascal. I'm mostly happy with this but that goofy looking fan clutch I'm glad to say will be mostly hidden in the fan shroud. Here it is installed onto the subframe. I managed to shoot a coat of semi-gloss black on the chassis followed by a...

    That is beautiful!!

    Italeri Alfa 2300 FINISHED

To add, I think I enjoy all the research involved in our quest to build as good of a replica as possible with any given talents we may have. It's funny how when we started out in this hobby, a large majority of us built what was on the box as the reference. In time we start venturing outside of...

    Porsche 935 1:12

I hear you on sizing of any selected model Paddy. It's the one reason I don't build 4 engined bombers or big rigs. I've just got no where to display stuff like that......at least for the time being. As for the quality of your build here: A very well built and painted up example of a great...

I'm right there with you on the Hull Red as well Paddy. Interesting and very cool solution to the lockwired retainers for the tail piece.

    1/48 ARII/Otaki Ki-44 Shoki

Man, that's a very well weathered aircraft and a great looking build overall Erik. I'd be VERY happy with that outcome.

    1/48 Tamiya A6M2-N Rufe

Welcome aboard!! I I'm Joe. Great lookin' Rufe and a Tamiya at that which means it must've almost put itself together. lol

    AMT 1970-1/2 Z/28 Finished-12/30

I dunno bout dat. The firing order.... that's easy....1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Done it too many times to forget it. lol

    AMT 1970-1/2 Z/28 Finished-12/30

Completed subframe with modified spindles to drop the front end a little bit along with the mostly completed bare engine: I purchased my first two MAD prewired distributors. I've gotta say that I am definitely impressed, and thanks goes out to those who started the thread on pre-wired...

    Porsche 935 1:12

I've floated around over the years between aircraft, military vehicles and autos. I like all three, but my true interest seems to be autos. I really need to make it back to another aircraft build but I have an armor model in the stash that interests me very much. Like you, Paddy, I love detail a...

I'm trying to make that appearance much more often Bob.

    Porsche 935 1:12

I missed the part of your commentary about the gloss coat over different lusters of paint Paddy. In all the paint work that I've done on autos, gloss coats over different lusters produces a uniform gloss effect. The key is to mist the gloss coat on first in layers to give a good and even...

    AMT 1970-1/2 Z/28 Finished-12/30

You lucky DOG!! I'm looking for one of these cars right now to drop that 406 of mine into. Thanks and I remember those days too. I was spying a 72 Camaro for my first car when my dad stopped the whole deal after he found out what was under the hood. lol

    AMT 1970-1/2 Z/28 Finished-12/30

Most of the old F bodies had that exhaust set up. I'm not really a fan of 'em but I can think of worse exhaust systems. lol

    AMT 1970-1/2 Z/28 Finished-12/30

One of the shortcomings of this kit is in the exhaust area. First off, there's LOTS of clean up to do, more so on this kit than most any other of the models I've built in the past. After that is the issue of the position of the tail pipe when it's all installed onto the vehicle and the fact...

    AMT 1970-1/2 Z/28 Finished-12/30

There's one there Bob. lol. It's one of those sideways mufflers that has both pipes coming in and then a dual exit , one on each side. I just didn't get the right angle on the pic to show it off.
