    Just read this article Bob. Thanks for sharing. I remember I read an article back in the day in one of the old VLS magazines were you talked about creating rust from pastels. After reading the article it's always my go to for rust.

    This is what I'm working on now. Tamiya 1/35 Dragon Wagon. I will be putting the Meng M4A3E2 Jumbo on the trailer. Having fun with it!

    They can be a little tricky. You got to make sure the tool is on center of the part and don't try and take to much material all at once. There has to be videos out there on how to use them. I went to school to learn them after I got out of high school.

    I made gun barrels. I have a little lathe and milling machine that comes in handy when I have to scratch build something.

    I thank you guys for sharing your tricks of the trade. The VLS days is what really got me back into modeling. Still have all the old VLS books and magazines and still use them for references. Thanks again and keep the posts coming!

    Love the stories of the VLS days Bob. I follow Jef Verswyvel on his Jef V' Corner facebook page. I asked him to tell some old VLS stories and he did. I also watched the video where he interviewed you and found it very interesting.
