F-15C by Revell in 1/48th scale

After a lot of filing and sanding the inner engine inlets are smooth and painted. Gear doors are installed for gear up operations. The wings and fuel tank are assembled but not attached. The nose cone wind on with a little clean up and a vertical spreader made from spruce was installed into the...

I guess growing up in S. FL and having to deal with a lot of hurricanes in the past, we prepped the best we could. By that, I mean we limited the amount of food that needed to be frozen or refrigerated, filled Tupperware with water and froze them in advance to make blocks of ice and kept them in...

Here in Monroe, GA, we dodged a bullet. 6.7 in. of rain, some wind, no power lost. The west side of the eye passed over us. Gary S.

F-15C by Revell in 1/48th scale

Not too trilled with the instrument panel. At least the canopy will be closed. A lot of tape and just plain force was used on the fuselage. These old Monogram kits are beat it to fit and paint it to match kits, but with in my price range and the decals look nice. Gary S.

F-15C by Revell in 1/48th scale

This is Revell's F-15C kit based on Monogram's old F15A kit and it's not a bad kit, some parts are sho w ing their age. New exhaust parts are included to make it C model I guess. I want to make it gear up as I already have an E model with gear down. Which is a fantastic kit. Managed to get a few...

    Ivan and the Tiger

Time for the glamor shots. I think they came out ok. Although not competitive. Those days are over for me. Good enough for me. I'm thinking about building Monogram/ Revell's F-15C and Italereri's AH1W with home made horizontal exhaust, both in 1/48th scale. Gary S.

    Korea

Didn't mean to hijack this thread and I want to thank you guys for all the info. It's really going to come in handy. Big 10 has built a beautiful model and I hope this puts it back into the spotlight. These planes look like they were rode hard and put up wet. My model should be here tomorrow...

Here's a picture of the real aircraft that's on the box art. Looks painted to me. Should make painting easier. Also, it looks like the anti-glare black extends back to the antenna post or is that a shadow? Looks pretty clean too. Thanks for the photo's, including the interior shots, this build...
