Hello everyone,
this is an inbox review of the latest kit from WnW - 1/32 scale Hannover C1.II
Fantastic! - there I'm done. /components/com_kunena/template/default/images/emoticons/101.gif
Seriously though, if you haven't 'picked-up' one of their 1/32 planes yet then you are missing out on some of the best models on the market today. From their instructions to their high quality molding they are as good as Tamiya in my opinion with the bonus of a rare subject matter like WW1 planes.

THE HANNOVER C1.II was a low level 2 seat escort fighter and ground attack aircraft used by the Germans.
Ok, the Hannover C1.II was their latest release at Xmas as a surprise kit (they do that sometimes), and I got one immediately. I have had a passing interest over the years in WW1 planes, but mainly the typical Red Baron thing, or just knowing about the existence of planes like the Albatross, Fokker D7 or Sopwith Camel (which came originally from the Peanuts cartoons , via snoopy and his exploits).
However, some time ago when the only kits available were their Junkers and LVG I was pointed towards WnWs and discovered WW1 in detail. Every new release takes me further down the WW1 research path as they have released planes that I never knew existed - such as the Hannover C1.

INSTRUCTION BOOKLET
The extensive instruction booklets with these kits are reason enough to buy one, as they pack in original ref photos, good general info on the cover, ref photos from restored museum planes and beautiful CAD artwork as the general instructions. The details are all well researched and the extensive decal sheets provide many options supported by beautiful profile art.
See some examples below.

Sprue sheets include such details as multiple propeller s from the different manufacturers as well as MG choices for the gunner and boarding ladders for the crew. Flare pistols are also included.
The sprue sheets are listed from A to G with 2 D sheets for the wheels and 2 G2 sheets for the bombs.
Sprue sheet G3 provides a number of observation camera choices which are also covered by a nice clear photo reference pic.
Wing detail is also very good with individual section tape surfaces molded exquisitely.
All MG's are very sexy ootb however you can purchase some very nice after market barrels and heat guards for the hardcore modeller.
Rigging wire is also available from their site at WnWs.
