Another book that is a labor of love. Within 128 pages, we find veterans' stories along with photos and actual documents. It is placed chronologically with profiles of several of the men. In accordance with veteran's memories, the captions are let down by a lack of vehicle identification. Some photo quality is not as sharp as others but the men were soldiers and not photographers. I will not vouch for the accuracy of the color profiles as I am never a fan.
An interesting event was that my Hungarian neighbor, a child near Lake Balaton, asked to borrow the book as he recalled the Death's Head, the symbol used by the 3rd SS Panzer Division. His memories are that the vehicles (half-tracks mostly) were all gray or a dark color.
