Here is the debut of AK Interactive's Weathering magazine. You will not be disappointed. This Magazine is 1st. class all the way. From the quality of the photographs to the high quality paper that this magazine is printed on. Sure ... There are a lot of modeling magazines out there. Most covering a specific genere of the hobby. None, solely on the Art of painting & weathering your model. A lot of magazines touch on certain steps of the process, this magazine does not discriminate ! It will cover all generes of the hobby ( this particular issue is a rather Auspicious debut !) with articles  specifically on making your models the most realistic that you want to build them.

------------------------------------

The debut issue clocks in with 80 pages. Devoid of any ads , save the inside of the front & back cover, This magazine is all business ! The news stand price is only €8 & $12(usd) with subscriptions available (Those of you in America, You will want to check with AK Interactive USA for arrival.) You will save on the subscription and it's easily worth every penny !

With Armor being the obvious choice & what you would expect from Ak , the pages are stuffed with articles on ships, cars, & even the Mech. builders haven't been left out. Planes will surely follow , with no stone left unturned there is even an article on weathering old metal fixtures , the ones that you would find on Gates & Barn doors. There is a section that covers all of the different possible materials that can be used to get realistic rusty finishes. From Oil to Enamel ... it's all covered.  All of the individual articles are laid out nicely. With great photography & easy to follow text. Reminiscent of the FAQ2 book.  While some of you may be thinking that this is a simple reprint  .... Nope, all fresh builds and techniques !

Even the Railroad Guys have a stake in th pie ! This is an excellant article by John Murphy, whom is also the Chief Editor. Some may remember his work with Tamiya's TMM & MMiR .

The quality in this publication is outstanding. Full color glossy & the pages are printed on rather thick stock similar to the Smithsonian magazine . Over sized as well measuring a stout 11 1/2" x 8" !!
