1/48 Bronco T17E1 Staghound MK.I/Canadian 60lb Rocket Launch Version

I am doing an in-box review of Bronco's Staghound in 1/48 scale. It is really a pretty detailed kit-- which means in 1/48 that the parts in some cases are very small and extreme care is needed to get them off the sprue and onto the model. I got mine from Sprue Brothers on a sale- but is's regular price is around $30.
Sprue C contians parts for the undercarriage, suspension, hatches, and the main chassis. Details are crisp and free of flash or pin marks of any kind.

Sprue D contains the wheels, fuel tank and rack, tools, and other very small parts-- an additional Sprue D has the parts for the aircraft rockets used on the racks...

Sprue E is a mix of 4 subsprues...which consists of parts for the turret, 37mm gun, radio, and machine guns (Ea), parts of the main body sides (Eb), top of the car where the turret mounts (Ec) and front end piece (Ed). Detail all around is spectacular-- especially the radio and the guns, which are hollowed out.

A clear sprue is provided for the periscope lenses and the like...

A sheet of PE is also included to keep things interesting...

Decal options include a British Army non-rocket version and a Canadian Army rocket version-- register seems pretty crisp and clear....

There isn't too much available aftermarket at this time. Their 1/35 version comes with a metal barrel- but alas not for the 1/48 version. Black Dog does offer a set of resin stowage for the kit. I am pretty excited to start this kit-- but patience is going to be key with getting some of these tiny pieces off the sprues. Overall-- I really hope Bronco continues releasing kits in this scale as their attention to detail is top-notch.
I will be using the Ampersand book as a reference and will post here when I get things started....
