Quite early on I made a "Master Page" in my Canvas program for size detail and resolution. It has been tweaked and modded over the years to where it is on version 7 now. The page has a fixed border and if you have seen any of my posts the outline and top bar are always there. I import my photos, then stretch or shrink them to do and show what I want. Once the photo is what I want I change the resolution of the photo in the program to 320 pixels per inch. finish up with the details and remove the extra junk on that page. I then select the whole page and render it at 160 pixels per inch, export that as a *.JPG file. It really takes very little time and I will adjust the brightness and contrast but that is usually all that is needed. Simple pages take only a couple of minutes. Really complex pages with drawings and explanations can take a bit longer, but still not a lot of time. My Canvas files each start from a master that is copied to the Project folder and renamed. In the file is a master page with all the detail goodies that I use to start it.
