Mobile modeling

As I have problems getting into the basement to build I decided to get a small kit and build in my office between cat visits. Thought I would pass of a look at the tool box I got. The scalpels, nippers, etc are all common to everyone's work bench so wont go into them, but if your looking for a mobile modeling box, I think this one is almost perfect. I might make a locking bar for the drawers maybe, but they dont move unless moved as it is.
Might be a little pricey, but it feels strong and not a flimsy tin tool box.

Oh and I did get some new tweezers for it.

Nice one James. I've been wanting to rebuild my work bench but I'm worried about where all my stuff will go. Just need to buck up and buy another tool box like someone told me to long time ago.

Thanks for the offer, but I've got a big tackle box that I use for storing tools, brushes, etc. Providing I remember to put them back in it when I done.

Cheers,

Harbor Freight has a little tool box about this size as well. Saw a coupon for it a couple of weeks back. It is $19 but doesn't have a carry handle and I think it is a bit smaller.
Years ago, when I was in watch school (late 80's) I also took some jewelry classes. The jewelry tools came in a basic metal tool box that sucked. I found a HUGE black plastic fishing tackle box with drawers in the front and a fold out retainer that would keep the drawers closed. It was so nice that everyone else ended up with one just like it a few weeks later. Alas it isn't made any more but I still have mine. Used it for years to hold stuff to build D & D figures. It is in storage now, but too worthwhile to drop at a GoodWill or something like that.

They had one of their sales on and I almost got pulled in one a mobile tool cart, I don't need another mobile tool cart till I get rid of the 4*6 mobile drafting table I've been using for the past 12 years. The thing is too big, I can't reach the back of it while sitting and I end up with a bunch of dead, unused space. At the same time, I'd hate to trash it but no one is doing old school drafting anymore.

My daughter ended up with my old drafting table which was a bit over 3'x4' It had a fold up base and could be folded up and leaned against the wall. Then it only would stick out about 6 inches from the wall.
Several years ago I bought another table from Hobby Lobby that is about the same size but has a roll around frame under it. It was my work table for a while. Now it is the table I use for taking photos.
