You were right! I sided with the mild 8n tractor "experts" at first, because I wanted to be safe, who said that coil is to hot, however, the "hold my beer" 8n members said run that dragster Accel. It became quite the debate on the Ford tractor forum...haha. I'm running the hot coil...

I bet that did get heated. Wonder what's down stream from the coil that needs the extra power.

I don't know. The thing it can do is burn points. I thought about putting the milder coil in for a test. Problem is it's a bit of a pain and I'm learning that even though the tractors were all built to the same specs, over years of use they seem to develop an individual liking for this or that, that another one may not like.
