    Panzer I Ausf. A

Excellent! Thanks! I noticed that, even better 👌

    Panzer I Ausf. A

Thanks Sharkmouth. I had thought about that, along with even doing a pre war because of the photo proof of the totenkopf pennant. Then I saw this one from the 10th panzer division. I like it because of the markings and want to try and hand paint them rather than using decals at this scale. Idk.

....and here we go. The kit molded MG 13 guns are nice but I just couldn't resist the brass aftermarket offering for this kit from Aber 🥴

The ones that survive I've looked at varied. Black field silverish embroidered skull and border or black field with white embroidered skull with no border. Those were a bit later style of skull, though.

    Panzer I Ausf. A

With permission these are the photos that inspired me to build the Panzer I. Both date to pre war. The colorized one states it's from '35. I'm not sure if the Panzer I 's carried the Totenkopf pennat into battle. I have seen a photo of a knocked out Panzer III with a British soldier standing on...

    Romfell revisited.

It's funny how after awhile, for me, my stuff don't look as good I thought it did when I called it finished the first time...haha. I do the same thing with my paintings, drives my wife crazy...lol.

    Panzer I Ausf. A

On the bench is my next project, the Panzer I. I'm not sure if I could post the photograph that inspired me to build this kit for a couple of reasons. One, The image says "may be subject to copyright laws" the other is the tank is flying a pre war Totenkopf pennat and I really don't know what...

The Tadpole. Airbrushing on a bit more color and dry brushed some of the details. I'll eventually add it to a diorama.

Going all in on 1/16 scale Armor.

I understand that Bob. One reason the Takom armour 1/16 scale offerings are not pricey is there is minimum or no interiors. I don't have a problem with that. Warship kits are different. I would probably avoid the 1/700 scale, but would would build 1/350 all day long.

Yes, the wingspan can get wide! A friend gifted me a few vintage RC plane kits but There is no room to keep them if I built them.

So far the Renault and the two panzer kits aren't crazy huge, given the real ones weren't big. The Panzer III will be a little larger. I have a 10 ft long by 12 inch deep shelf high over the workbench. Since I doubt my wife will let me display them in the living room that's where they'll live.

    Romfell revisited.

Next up on my revisiting list was the Renault FT. Not to much done here, just some more detail painting and airbrushing on a little road dust.

Going all in on 1/16 scale Armor.

The Takom Panzer 1 will get here first, so I'll do it next. It looks like Takom has really upped their game with the Panzer I kit. The huge sprue gates attached directly to the parts are gone. As well as all of the injector pin marks that made the Renault FT kit so much of the hassel. I need...

Going all in on 1/16 scale Armor.

After building the large scale Takom Renault FT I'm spoiled now. So much so I don't see myself going back to modelling AVF's in 1/35. I've ordered two 1/16 scale Panzer kits, the Panzer I Ausf a and the Panzer III Ausf J. Yes, some...or most offerings in this scale are stupid expensive. But so...
