2026 Plastic Surgeons Meetings and Other Model Fun!

The 2025/26 school year has come to a close. My Sp. Ed. teaching job at the school is ended. I thanked my homeroom students for teaching me so much and welcoming me to the their Whitter family. I'm sure these 5th graders taught me more than I did them! I played a few final pranks on...

My neighbor, Nick is a rep for a solar energy company. Having fitted solar panels to my Sweetie's schooner, I asked him what kind of output to expect from this 3 panel array. He thinks between 1700 and 2000 watts on a sunny day. None of my models ever sail in less than sunny conditions, so...

When you're having a rough time, A Little Jesus can make all the difference! I leave our Lord and Savior in innocuous places everywhere we go. Kwik Star, Wendy's Texas (Roadhouse) Madhouse, Wal-Mart, Hy-Vee, etc. A friendly lady outside of the Cedar Rapids Kwik Star tired to talk me out...

2026 Plastic Surgeons Meetings and Other Model Fun!

Abigail's yacht model (Vignette?) is finished and ready for delivery. Other kids are disappointed there isn't time to make more of these before school year's end. I confess, smart, funny, polite Abigail is a favorite. Yesterday was my Golden Birthday. (Born in '63, aged 63 years, see?) I...

Most imagine me to be a simple school bus driver, even among my bus-mates. One discounts any advice I may offer about the taught responses that our students learn in classrooms to make keeping discipline consistent, mostly because he's a know-it-all. Rick. Odd how that name sometime begins...

2026 Plastic Surgeons Meetings and Other Model Fun!

As the end of this school year and my short career as a special needs reading and spelling associate draws nearer, I finished another small sailing vessel model cube for presentation. Rather a future history subject. A much older Abigail and Brooklyn merrily underway to sunny parts unknown...

After a conversation with our schools principal, The retirement present for Mrs. Borgmeyer goes forward. I was assured she would 100% enjoy such a thing, despite my misgivings. Collecting the autographs from the 5th grade class and teaching staff members went well on Friday.

A New Era For Dragon Models

In 2012 those guys tooled and made a test-shot of a new 1/700 scale CVN-65 USS Enterprise in her 1981 fit. Tim Dike in Kansas City, did some of the CAD work for the new, stunning kit. I actually had this model in my hands. Then Dragon said Disney products took priority and the never released...

We love you guys in Alberta, but your winter is too long for my tastes. I might expect such a thing in Yukon.

Alley Cat Models Purchased By Models For Sale

Alley Cat was the guy that made the conversion for the 1/72 scale C-47TP Basler turbo Gooney. His castings were of fine quality and almost bubble free. He included accurate metal skinned tail control surfaces that the newer issue 1/72 Modelsvit kit missed. An interesting and talented man.
