    E-Type jag, Scale = big.

I have got lost as the four last posts seem to have gone off at a tangent. Not aware that Italeri ever had anything to do with an E type kit ever. The PR shot of the D type LM Jaguar. Is that the MFH one that is in 1/12th scale, not 1/8th? Not sure why that one has sneaked in when the discussion...

    Model Motorcars Ltd

Pity they have now gone. They carried some really nice upgrade stuff for the old and new Pocher kits. Hopefully another company might take on the stock and make it available again, but who knows?

    Model Motorcars Ltd

Been trying to sell my 2 Pochers I described and trying to find a UK buyer. Generated no interest so far. Might just stick the stuff into an auction to get rid !

    Model Cars Magazine

It's puzzling how some paper magazines go the way of the Dodo and others survive quite happily. Airfix Scale Modelworld is an example of one that looks to be doing OK month to month.

    Model Motorcars Ltd

Heavens Eagle. I have a Pocher original Mercedes kit and a Rolls 'Bitsa' ( radiator. chassis, engine and running gear etc.) that would offer a parts scratch build opportunity. Cannot get the enthusiasm to build either though ! What Pochers do you have also to release to the wild out of curiosity?

    Modelers Alliance World Cup

Not bad to put ideas like an on line competition out there MrT to be positive. One soon finds out whether they might work of not by considering the feedback. You graciously agreed with the consensus that I thought was quite magnanimous on your part.

    Model Cars Magazine

Model Cars Magazine's forum broke away from being owned by the magazine recently, I would guess for a reason. Maybe the magazine will struggle on and survive, but looking at MCM's website indicated that the last copy went out in August 2025. Maybe some went out since then and the website was...

    Model Motorcars Ltd

Model Motorcars Ltd website was down when I tried to access it over the last few days. Reason being that they went into voluntary dissolution on March 18th 2026 after trading for 25 years plus. Why is not known to this poster. The company specialised in tutorial books, CD's and after market...

    Italeri Bugatti 1/12 FINISHED

Finally made a start on my Bugatti 35B. Paddy's thread and various builds I have been following on YouTube and other forums will certainly allow me to avoid certain pitfalls plus some really good tips generally. The kit is quite good overall, although some of the finer details like bolt...

    Model Cars Magazine

Model Cars Magazine's publication schedule appears to be very late again and subscriber deliveries are going way out. It was a good magazine that appeared to be getting over its difficulties a couple of years back, but seems to be struggling again. Anyone know what is currently happening with it ?

Pocher Original Mercedes Kit For Sale Or Trade

It's been a while now and my thread sort of morphed into a discussion about old Pocher brand kits rather than getting any potential buyer enquiries. I still have the Merc and the Rolls 'Bitsa' to dispose of it anyone is interested. So if there is a UK buyer out there, please make direct...

Is this guy the ultimate scratch builder ?

No wonder I did not recognise the name as he is a wingy thingy scratch builder. The ones I posted are primarily auto model scratch builders. However, I have seen that Spitfire model at Hendon some time ago. One can hardly miss it ! As it happens a very old close friend of mine since the late...

Is this guy the ultimate scratch builder ?

Not familiar with David Glen's name Paddy. I am interested to find out more about him and his speciality.

Is this guy the ultimate scratch builder ?

The build shown is a very impressive model indeed ! My personal view is that the late Gerald A Wingrove is the ultimate scratch builder of model care who worked in 1/15th scale on his fully detailed models. In his early professional career he built a series of 1/20th scale models for the...
