Welcome aboard Chris! Glad you decided to join our little group. Feel free to join in Saturday (Oct 3rd) morning as we will be having our monthly Google meet and chat. Kind of like a local hobby group meeting except we have folks all over the world. Everyone that has been here for a while will gladly help out with any questions you might have, or if you hit a spot that is being a pain to build we can sometimes come up with wonderful suggestions to get it done.

Good Morning. I got back in to modeling in 2020. This year has been the busiest for me in regards to building, not only kits, but also stash. My stash seems to be expanding quicker than I my building. I have completed 42 kits this year with one (Tamiya 1/48 A-1J Skyraider) on the go. My wife puts up with my habit.....I mean hobby. Still have my first wife and have been married 35 years.
My family all lives in Regina, SK Canada.
I am a airline pilot and have been flying close to 40 years with 20,000 hours in the air. My current job is a B-787 Captain with Air Canada. I have been with AC for 26 years. In that time, I have flown the Embraer 190, Airbus 320 and B737,757,767 and now the 787. I have a degree in Military History.
I have two great boys/young men. My oldest son is an Canadian Army Reservist. He is attached to the Royal Regina Rifle Regiment and is a newly minted Warrant Officer. 2 deployments over the course of his time with the Regiment. First was in Afghanistan in 2010 and the end of last year and beginning of this year was deployed to Jordan. He was an instructor to their QRF troops. He teaches helicopter rapelling. His full time job is presently with the City of Regina doing procurement and acquisition. My youngest works in IT and currently works from home. His wife is a social media influencer(whatever that is) and works from home as well. I have one VERY SPECIAL granddaughter who is the light of my life(as I'm sure anyone who is a grandparent will say the same). Elle is 5 and just started kindergarten.

Good Morning Rich. Look forward to getting to know you all here. My main interest is WW2 to present day military aircraft. I have done one airliner(Revell Airbus A340) for a buddy, a few cars and one AFV. I do have a Leopard Tank in stash that I am going to build for my oldest boy(see my bio above). My niche is military planes

Doing 2 Thanksgivings in October. First this Saturday. My oldest is leaving for 5 weeks to go down east to teach a helicopter rapel course. He leaves Sunday, so doing dinner for him with rest of family Saturday aft. Next one is the following Friday as I will be away at flying over Thanksgiving weekend. Will stay as long as I can. I'm cooking, so will be busy most of Saturday.
I forgot, y'all do Metric Thanksgiving.
