Panzer III Ausf J. Das Werks, 1/16 scale.

I don't know which hull penetration was used.

Looks like your guess was right on Tim. This is in my references.

These show the conduit for the notek and the horn/light.

Edit:
Just looked again at your reference photo and realized that it is a photo of a real tank. For some reason I thought it was a photo of a model kit

Moving to the upper hull. The extra armor plate is on. I didn't add it as the instructions show how to as that looked like a good way to get into trouble. There's 13 pieces that make up this plate. Which means a number of ways to screw up and get it crooked. This kit is not a walk in the park. Almost every part needs tweaked to fit. Anyway it's on and straight. I decided to add some battle damage to the this plate. I've also put some texture on the whole structure with Mr. Cement S.(I'll add it to every part thats not sheet metal) It's not cast steel, but at this scale I feel like it needs something.

Thinking of displaying this build in a dio. I have these figures coming on a slow boat from China. I'm not sure whether I'll use the crew member leaning out of the hatch, yet. There is no interior detail and I'm not in the mood to build it either. I see when they get here. I will be using the commander for sure, but what is it thats gotten their attention?...basically I'm thinking out loud at this point...

I am a bit surprised that there isn't a decent interior available for this. Recently I discovered that several of the quite expensive Trumpeter 1/16th kits have full interiors which explains partly why the are so pricey.
