What do you do when....

Unfortunately, I have already run out of space. I always keep everything I build (unless I'm building a model for someone else) so I keep it in my Hobby Room. My shelves are already quite packed so I've been stacking models on top of each other. I still have a little room left on the ceiling for a few more large aircraft, but that is rapidly filling up too. Some models, like my Dora rail gun and my Panzerzug BP-44 armored train remain in their boxes since I have no place to display them. Otherwise, I find a spot wherever I can.

Didn't you build over 600 last year,I would expect you would run out pretty quickly

LOL! I hadn't built all those in one year! :facepalm I just reached that milestone in my armor builds. I am up to 675 armor models completed and shooting for 700 by the end of the year. That count doesn't include the aircraft and other models I've completed as well. I typically finish at least 40 each year, with the average being about 55 plus or minus.

R.J. was a Snipe. Worked in the engineering spaces, and tended the helo deck, on occaision. The 2 of may have seen one another, over the rails.

Every one of us has some form of "The Sickness" that all modelers do. We are our very own harshest critic. Others view our efforts, and say "awesome" of "excellent" but we know where ALL the flaws lie. Try as we may, not one of us builds a perfect model. (Iron Mike, Chuckw, Phantom, and others, are close!) We call it "working on a kit" but it is less than true. We PLAY when we model! If YOU don't, you should! BRAIN VACATION!!

I can't tell you how many times I hit the Tanker in the F-8E/Q Crusader, and flew her back to the Old USS Oriskany, soaked in sweat, after an Iron Hand strike, for a twilight trap, and a hot cuppa Joe.
How many times my Wolfpack F-14-A screamed down the Enterprise's Cat, in MRT, with my chin tucked, and the throttle two-blocked, in CAT grip.
How many times I left the USS Kitkun Bay, in my FM-2, wobbling as I cranked up the gear by hand, off hunting Kamikazes, on a CAP mission.
Haven't we all chased the Red Baron, in a Camel, or an SE-5a, waiting for him to flinch,(HE NEVER does!) over the trenches?
If you haven't, you should! Life is FINITE, my fellows. Don't squander one, precious, second of it! I LOVE to make models! So much the better if someone else treasures them! Lewis Bower's SBD-3 was crappy, but HE loved it, because he lacked the gifts to make one himself. It's little bitty World we live on. Shrinks everytime we say "Hello".

I'm done on my soap box. I do get carried away.

Well, no... I don't finish one model, I tend to finish three or five at one time. THAT'S where the fun is! .... At least for me

Never did any of that, but I sure can tell you that my mixed scale fleet did lay in ambush behind the bed post waiting for the USS North Carolina to round the desk in the deep green shag carpet. :skipper
