Clydesdales In Cleveland County

Iron Mike

Master At Arms And Resident Curmudgeon
On a warm, muggy late May afternoon, downtown Shelby, North Carolina hosted the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales full hitch team. The town square was blocked off, allowing up close and personal access to these wonderful creatures.

The team took the crowd in stride, appearing quite used to the attention.

Good pictures Mike . Thanks for sharing .

I always found it odd that with all the hoopla about the beer delivery rig they never brought as much as one beer to share with the public.

Built it once when I was a kid. The wagon and rig were fine, the poor horses had some serious gap issues.

Excellent photos ..... I like the statue the best ..... No the Budweiser photos are great ....

Do Ya'll know what Budweiser stands for ????

Awesome pictures! Doubly cool, because I was just there, in Shelby, NC, just last March. We never did buy any beer at Aunt Bessie's Cabin. Hmmm......
Why don't the Cheerwine people have a team of horsies, and a big wagon?
