Well here I set in western Missouri and we have horizontal snow. We have got three inches in the last hour with a long day still to go. No school!! No work(at least for me)!

BENCH TIME!!!!!!

That whole system is heading our way, but looks like we're just gonna get a couple of days of rain out of it, w/ the slight possibility of some sleet late tonight.

It dropped to a whole 39 degrees last night and today I saw a cloud!

;)

There's a reason I left St Louis for Henderson and the Mojave desert.

My BIL went to golf in Phoenix and it's snowing there!

Snowing and windy here in Iowa. I am in Altoona for the night. Not sure what my drive will be like on Friday. I am supposed to deliver in Bolingbrook,IL tomorrow by 1300. If I make it ,great. If not,I won't lose any sleep over it.

I think we got just over 12 inches. Hard to tell when it blows around. Much better than a the dirt storms we have been getting.

We got 10 inches, Hannibal, just a few miles north of us got 14 inches. Here is what it looks like at our place!

They say more is coming in a couple of days!

I think today is the first day without some form of snow in the past 2 weeks. We have about 3 feet. At least its warming up, only -4C right now. Tee shirt weather :D

Holy Cow James,

I'll bet you had a big laugh at my snow pictures. I thought you lived in Canada, not the arctic circle! :yipee

-4 C isn't all that cold, we do get down to -8 or -9 Fahrenheit here once in awhile, that's -23 C. Unfortunately, in the summer, we get up to 42 or 43 degrees Celsius as well, that's warm!

Hang in there buddy!

Bob

It's currently a frigid 49 degrees F here in the Mojave. Wind gusts upwards of 50 mph last night. No clouds as they blew into Arizona hours ago.

It will occasionally get below freezing. My house is about 1000' above the valley floor so say 3000-3100 feet above sea level. I have had upwards of 8 inches of snow where I live. That occurred January of '09 and completely paralyzed the valley.

Rain is the enemy here, flash flooding occurs, people and things are just swept away.

Usually by this time of year we are gardening in Tshirts and shorts.

Annual precipitation is around 4-5 inches a year. Trouble is that happens in maybe two long storms!

I do not miss that.

Folks from out around these parts think snow is just so frickin wonderful. They drive to the mountains, play in the snow, then go home to palm trees and swimming pools.

When I explain what it takes to work and attend school after a snow storm, and functioning in the winter, these people look at me like I just flew into Area 51.

Snowmageddon? Had to dig these photos up for you all. This was in '97 back when I was living in Winnipeg (also known as Winterpeg). We had to wait four days for a big a$$ front end loader with a snowblower attachment to come clear our back lane. The first photo is my neighbours car, he took one look at it and walked away. Waited until he was able to catch the bobcat guy that does the parking lot across the street to dig it out. My car was the red one below, not so bad. I can still see the door handles. So glad I moved away from there! :D
