These Go To Eleven TASK COMPLETE!

These Go To Eleven How Much More Black...?

Thanks guys! The black came out pretty well and final assembly is underway. The kit glass does not fit the shape of the roof, so I made my own. Using some slick card stock, I made a couple templates by tracing the window opening and slightly enlarging the pattern,

I stuck the template to some blue painters tape, the slick side of the card stock helps the tape release and cut around the template with an X-Acto. I then stuck the tape templates to my clear sheet styrene, I like the thin .005 stuff for the clarity and scale thickness.

Using some sharp scissors, I cut around the tape.

You want to use the low tack tape or getting the tape off the glass can be difficult. The glass was installed using 3M Quick Dry Adhesive and a bit if clear Scotch tape, the tape helps place the glass so you can glue it.

Final assembly photos soon, waiting on glue to set. Stay tuned!

Do dat be dem plaskit winders? Does be naaase! muffriend! :yipee

Well, as usual, I'm right down to the wire again. The Fiat is finished, bringing conclusion to this build. As some of you know, an original AMT kit was one of the first models I built at around age 8. I'm hoping I've done more justice to the kit now, but I'll leave that to you.

Here she is, Black Betty.

Thank you all very much! There's a couple more kits from my childhood that need taming, may drag one out and see how that goes.
