Loved these cars!! They just look so kewl especially with the tail pipes on top of the motor

Check out the lightening holes in the wheel well. Never notice that about a race car before. Is that common?
 
Not sure Bob, could be venting from passenger compartment :idonno The Mustangs had problems with air pressure build up in passenger compartment, that I do know. Also could be they are trying to get more air to the brakes.
