BV 138 Flying Clog

Sadly not James .

The 1 st photo actually shows the upper parts of the transporter on the right hand side but the important parts are cut out.

From some reading, I might be able to get more info from the DO 24T since their transporters were similar .

Thanks for the effort . Cheers, Christian B)

Based on someone else' model, but maybe this will help.

Finish da plane- that trolley can come later, if you ask me.

Such an amazing pic! Imagine flying up behind this poor thing... I really want to do this in 1/48! look what you've done to me, man....

Sorry Chuck , I had no idea I would cause you any personal trauma

Looking at the 1/48 version posted at Hyperscale , it would involve a lot of work as well . Probably your type of build......I would follow it :good: .
Pretty pricey :coolio Maybe a good Christmas present :idonno

I think this was a factory only James . Don't think it would ride very far on that . Thanks for the efforts everyone ! (y)

While looking for things at Hobby lobby, I ran across this little miter box . Perfect for what I'm doing :good:

clog_cribbing_001_a.jpg

I then made up some cribbing pieces , glued and washed them with oils :frantic and voilas !

Here's a preview of how it will look.

Now , I'm off to having a mirror cut for the plaque :soldier

Thanks for looking. Cheers, Christian B)

That's a perfect quick solution- and nicely done to boot! That's an interesting mitre box as well- who's the manufacturer?

Beats trying to use a full size one :rotf

Thanks Gator and Luiz the for the positive comments :Hiay

Finally , this epic battle has run it's course :v . Thanks for tagging along till the end :soldier

I know a lot of you like clean planes, so I warn you now. This is not one of them .

Well, I hope that at least some of you like it.

I tried to picture what a seaplane might look like if it was used hard late in the war.

I had no idea how to paint it but this is what ensued . :frantic

Now it's ready to go in another big box and go to the show . Wonder if any of them will like it.

Last time they only liked shinny things

A big thank you to everyone that helped me get through this build . You are many :D

Anyhow, I'm glad you tagged along all this way (y) Hope you like it.

Cheers, Christian B)

What a ride and great finish Chris!

I like it, like how you got a good clear demark at the water line, like it was painted while in the water or it had washed away.

Super job! :notworthy

Looking forward to seeing it Saturday.

Looks gorgeous to me Chris. I'm sure you'll be showing off gold with this bird. (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) :D

Thanks James. I'm very happy with it myself but the camera did not capture but a small part of the streaks and smudges . It would probably need some close up shots .
I did not get along with the photo cube but couldn't get any descent shot on the work bench either . Need more space to work with this one.

I really like the forward fuselage....reminds me of a U boat . Probably would sink just as fast too.

Thank you for your help James. Cheers, Christian B)

Ps. Don't be so sure about that show . The majority will most likely be car guys. They only like shinny stuff.
Hopping more appropriate judges this time. :S
