1969 Daytona Charger - Marty Robins

De-chromed all the parts in bleach.

The bleach did not remove the chrome on these valve covers.
They are from the re-release of the Revell kit.
Must be some new form of chrome. The other items where done in about 5 minutes.

Try some Castrol Super Clean or Westley's Bleche white for stripping stubborn chrome.

Put it in an old pickle jar, mark what's inside, it will strip chrome for years. Also works removing mold release from resin parts.

Neat Stuff! One of my uncles (A Battle of the Bulge veteran, no less) owned one of the few hundred street versions of this car in 1970! I remember riding in it, the front end would drag on everything it seemed, but it was common for people to chase us down the street, trying to buy it.

I was able to get some quality bench time today.

I could not get the body to sit how I would like.
It end up being the plastic front supports, SOOOOOOOOOOO,
Out comes the brass rod.

Measured out 117 inched on a 3x5 card.
Two holes in front lined up for attaching the rear end.
