6th coldest spot in the world today :) Of course the Second and Third coldest spots are just a couple of hours away if you drive.

Congrats James, and you only missed top billing by 9 degrees.
Am I doing this right? -40c is -40f? I do remember hitting -30 in Grand Forks. After that we stopped all operations and I stopped counting and started drinkin' :drink

The coldest I ever experienced was -60°F with windchill when I was at Plattsburgh. We couldn't leave work/barracks for 2 days. I was lucky. I had food and drink in my room and was able to stay sort of warm. My room faced away from the wind and I had a sleeping bag. Highest was in Iraq... 130°+F

We knew a blizzard was on the way and went to the liquor store and got jim beam, doritos, beef jerky and the rest of our paycheck in change and played poker till they dug the chow hall out. It's a wonder I was able to stay in the service as long as I did...(wasn't long).

Coldest I was out was -54 C. You know its cold when the bolt of your C7 (M-16) goes chunk chunk and you can watch it. What a crappy day to go out shooting on the range.
